I’m told to get my “shot gun” ready, to eliminate the girls who would come after my son one day. I say “No need, because I have, since day one, prepared myself for that day; emotionally as well. And because of the preparation, I believe he’ll be able to use that “shot gun” of elimination all by himself – as it is supposed to be.
My journey lead me to discover the many things we (parents) tend to neglect along the way, when raising our precious little ones. Early preparation – what does it mean and what are the different stages?

Life is not a popularity contest!
Sometimes the right decision is not the most popular one. But it is certainly the one that makes us sleep at night. And this past week, I felt like that proverbial “sore thumb”, when I made the decision to not stand by and see how yet another child are about to fall through the cracks. “It is not my business”, we often say when it is not our child; when it is not our problem or issue.

Intelligence Transfer Centre Takes Great Pleasure In Announcing Dheneshree Lalla As Our Women’s Month Competition Winner
I completed my BSc Chemical Engineering at the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa. As I had received a bursary from Eskom Holdings to complete my studies, I commenced employment with the company soon after graduation. I reported at Tutuka Power Station in Mpumalanga in 2000 where I gained tremendous experience and exposure to the business for five years. I then moved to Kendal Power Station in Witbank.
In 2006/7 the new build programme started in Eskom, and seemed an excellent and exciting opportunity to get involved in. I joined the group at Generation Business Engineering in 2007, where I am currently involved in providing Chemical Engineering assistance to the operational and refurbishment stations.
I am a registered Professional Chemical Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa, and am proud to be employed by Eskom. I see myself as being a part of the team providing the solutions to the current dilemma we find ourselves in. After all, load shedding and tariff hikes affects us as well!!
I am also a mother of two, which brings along its own challenges as well.
Being a full time mum and career women in a demanding field is not an easy task, but has been extremely rewarding (in both aspects), which is why I continue to push my limits at both roles!
Multi tasking
All women have multi tasking capabilities
Home,Work and social life
We can all be superwoman if we balance the three spheres.
1. By planning properly – prioritise
2. Time management – start at home and it will come naturally at work
3. Project management – from start to finish -if you start something you must finish it or do not start it at all.
4. Taking time off to refuel.
5. Work hard and play hard – have me time.
6. Write a to do list.
Delegate and ask for help
Best Styles For Your Face
HOW TO FIND YOUR FACE SHAPE
Stand in front of a well-lit mirror. Slick your hair back into a tight ponytail so you have no hair on, or over, your face. Look at how the outline of your face and the size and shape of your forehead compare to your cheeks and chin. Now, using a bar of soap, trace the outline of your face directly onto the mirror. Stand back and analyse the outline you created to exactly determine your true face shape.
You are the key to change.
